Pennold’s Guide to The Reign of Rock Collection
The incredibly talented Penelope Gwen, formally known as Pennold on Instagram, brings us her signature grungy glam look featuring our 10 year anniversary collection. Pennold shows us how to create the ultimate winged eye shadow using our brand new Iconic Chromes and the Elemental Artistry Palette. STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:
STEP 1: Iconic Chrome, shade ‘Empowering’
Apply our Iconic Chrome in the gunmetal shade, Empowering, all over the lid with your finger to intensify the pigment. Line the lower lash line with the same Iconic Chrome using our Smoulder Eye Shadow Brush. Use our Eye Shadow Blending Brush to form the base for an exaggerated winged shape following the natural shape of the eye, using the outer corner to the tail of the brow as a guideline.
Line the top and bottom waterlines with our Eye Pencil in the shade SOPHIE.
STEP 2: Iconic Chrome, shade ‘Passionate’
Press the fiery red Iconic Chrome in Passionate into the inner corner and to the middle of the eyelid with your finger and blend slightly with the gunmetal shade. This will create a metallic base for the eye shadow Pennold adds to the look in the following steps.
STEP 3: Elemental Palette, shade ‘Elphaba’
Build up the grungy eye look using the shade Elphaba from our Elemental Artistry Palette, blending this into the crease with our Eye Shadow Blending Brush and starting to exaggerate the winged shape. Blend the same shade, Elphaba, with our Smoulder Eye Shadow Brush under the lower lash line to bring the winged eye shadow together. Make sure to created a tapered effect towards the tail of the winged eyeshadow with a clean Blending Brush and extend the shadow slightly past the end of the brow to achieve the elongated effect.
STEP 4: Elemental Palette, shade ‘Tosca’
Dip into the rich burnt orange shade, Tosca, from the Elemental Artistry Palette and create an exaggerated blend with our Eye Shadow Blending brush. Take the burnt orange shade into the inner corner of the eyelid and blend upwards taking the blend up to the front of the eyebrow and slightly below the lower lash line, blending with the smoky black liner you just applied.
Re-apply the black shade Elphaba through the crease and blend up to the shade Tosca to achieve a seamless look and ensure that the outer corner is intense, smoky and dark.
STEP 5: Beyond Highlighter
Take your glow to another level and add the glam to the grunge. Start by applying our NEW limited-edition Beyond Powder in the shade Frost to the brow bone with our Smoulder Eye Shadow Brush, and to the inner corner using your finger for intense pigment.
Add our cult favourite Beyond Powder in OMG with our Angled Cheek Brush to the high points of the face; cheekbones, temples, cupids bow and down the centre of the nose for the ultimate champagne glow.
STEP 6: Finshing Touches
Add our Antimatter Lipstick in the shade BTCH to complete Pennold’s signature grungy glam look using our 10 year anniversary collection.
