So a slight change of plan to my weekly blog posts! I don’t know about you, but one of my favourite things to read is street style posts in magazines and on blogs so I thought why not try a makeup version? As we are a British brand, I thought it would be interesting to start by exploring areas of London and document the makeup looks I find there.
The first place that springs to mind when thinking of cool areas of London is Camden. If you’ve been there then I’m sure you’ll know exactly what I mean. If not, then it’s a must see if you visit London!
The main attraction is the markets! From food to second hand books, hand-made jewellery to vintage clothing, there’s bound to be something you’ll find and love in the markets.
Then of course there’s the lock, which is perfect for taking your food from the stalls and sitting by for lunch.
If live music is your thing then be sure to check out Proud where gigs are held daily and at night it turns into a club!
If you fancy something a little quieter then the tea rooms in the stables market are worth a visit. Quite a hidden gem that you may just stumble upon accidentally and perfect for a slice of cake and to browse the selection of second hand books located next door.
The first makeup look I spotted when looking around was on Georgia, a University student currently working in Camden on her placement year. I thought her neutral ensemble was really pretty and loved her chunky sandals. I caught her walking through the food market on her way back to work.
“What I love about makeup is that it makes me feel at my best and more confident”
When I asked her what one product she couldn’t live without she decided on mascara as she couldn’t remember the last time she’d gone out without it. Our Masquara in Raven will do the trick perfectly if you’re in a rush and need a wide-eyed and awake look.
Georgia was wearing a coral shade of eyeshadow with a slight glimmer to it. We suggest Androgen Cream Pigment which can also be used on the cheeks and lips for an all over peachy look. For the shimmer on the eyes use Pure Pigment in Berber. You can find Georgia on Instagram here.
Hanging out by the lock, I found Aarti. She’s from Australia, visiting London and looked cool and Summery with her ombre’d hair.
“I think it should be a thing that people wear glitter more, not just on the eyes!”
We couldn’t agree more, festival style all year would be so fun! The one product Aarti couldn’t live without would be lipstick and if she could only wear one shade for the rest of her life it would be dark red.

Finally, I spotted this funky duo pondering the vintage shops in the stables market. Amanda and Jade caught my attention straight away with their bold and daring lipsticks and I loved their style. Speaking on their style inspiration, the girls said they’re loving anything Nineties themed at the moment!
Amanda was sporting a classic dark red lip that you could recreate using our Lipstick in the shade Vampette.
Both agreed that if they could invent a new makeup product it would be lipstick that doesn’t come off! It’s easy to see why, like us, they clearly love their lippy! Follow Amanda on Instagram here and Jade on Instagram here.
We hope you enjoyed the first instalment of Street Style! This Friday afternoon I’ll be at Portobello Road so come and say hi if you see me and for a chance to be featured on next week’s post!
(This is me!)
Hope to see some of you there!
