HOW TO: CREATE A NO MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK

Makeup is an armour: it empowers us and makes us feel confident, like our most authentic self. But sometimes doing a full face of makeup just doesn’t fit in with our schedule or we’re not feeling especially inspired for a full face look. No matter the reason, creating a goto natural makeup look is an easy way to enhance your features and feel good about your look (no matter how little time it takes).

In this no makeup makeup tutorial, Head of Training Mel Barrese explains how to create a natural makeup look using minimal products to accentuate your features. While it may not be your usual full-face makeup and smokey eye, this look will help you feel the most like your genuine self.

Watch the tutorial above or follow along this step-by-step guide to create a makeup look perfect for when you’re running late, working from home or having a low-key Sunday.

STEP ONE: PRIME THE SKIN

To create this look, it’s best to have fresh, clean skin as well as a solid skincare routine. Then apply our Satin Primer using a pea sized amount with a Foundation Brush. Gently apply to the outer edge of the face. Then, to mattify the t-zone, applMatte Veil Primer, buffing into the skin and focusing on the centre of the face.

STEP TWO: CONCEAL

Using our Skin Base Concealer Pen, dab the product onto any areas that need perfecting, then blend using our Round Concealer Brush. This concealer pen will work to cover dark circles, redness and any irritation on the skin.

STEP THREE: HIGHLIGHT

Give yourself a glow using our Gleam Highlighter in the shade Aurora (or the shade of your choosing). With our Highlighter Fan Brush, apply this cream to the high points of the face, including the cheek bones, temples and brow bones. This will give you a natural, radiant glow and healthy-looking skin.

STEP FOUR: POWDER AND SET

To finish off this natural makeup look, apply a small amount of translucent Loose Powder with our Powder Brush. Dust the powder over the skin, focusing on the t-zone, chin and any other areas which attract shine. To set your look in place with a dewy finish, use our Hydra Setting Spray, spritzing the face one or two times.
