I love this foundation, never have I found one before that has matched my skin so well, plus it gives an amazing flawless finish without looking caked on and has amazing staying power - couldn't ask for anything more, it's perfect skin in a bottle.

The tube last forever

Well, I received my foundation in shade 2 on november 2012 and I still use the same tube now ^^' It's like there's a blackhole at the bottom of the tube, it's endless, I can't finish it...

I bought this very recently after shopping in Selfridges Birmingham when the counter caught my eye. I had heard a few good things about this foundation so I thought "why not" and asked to be matched to a colour. First of all, the shade range isn't the best for pale skin whatsoever! The shade I was matched to was 02 which is too pink in my opinion. I then asked to try shade 03 and this was too yellow. In the end, I plumped for the 02 as it was the one that was closest to my skin but I can't say I was entirely happy. I bought it anyway - and I wish I hadn't. I have dry/normal skin and I exfoliate at least twice a week, wear an incredibly rich moisturiser, I wear a primer and I unfortunately have some large pores on my nose and cheeks. This foundation was a big, cakey mess when I applied it and believe me, I've tried to make it work! I've used sponges, fingers, all kinds of foundation brushes - nothing has helped. It accentuated the appearance of my pores and fine lines and it never seemed to dry down properly - it stayed sticky and cakey. It was incredibly difficult to blend - not fluid at all. When I had the foundation on, it looked and felt like a heavy mask of makeup. £27 down the drain...I also bought the concealer to go with it - again, another waste of time. Looked cakey and didn't set properly on my skin. Would not re-purchase or recommend to friends - its just a shame I don't live locally to the store I purchased it from as I would have definitely returned it!!

Perfection in a bottle

I'd looked around forever for a foundation that perfectly matched my skintone, until I found this one. Sure, it's a bit costly, but it works wonders. The formula is pretty much perfect. It feels amazing on my skin and has a nice matte finish, depending on the base you use with it. It perfectly balances my skintone and is quite long lasting with wear. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

Terrible for my skin!

I recently bought Skin Base for the first time due to reading so many good reviews. I am so disappointed that is looks so bad on my skin. My skin is normal/dry with large pores and a few small red patches on my chin. I've found that my skin is fine with most foundations. I regularly exfoliate my skin, always use a rich moisturiser and use a good primer which reduces the visibility of my pores with other foundations. I tried to apply Skin Base with my fingers, a sponge and several brushes but it always looks horrible. The foundation sits in my pores and makes them more visible. The foundation doesn't cover my imperfections (which other foundations do easily), the foundation went very patchy with a couple of hours and looked flakey. The foundation also made my skin look very dry in patches which has never happened with other foundations. It also has no staying power at all (I've tried it with several different primers and moisturisers). It rubs off very quickly and makes me look shiney even though my skin isn't oily. I also found it really difficult to apply despite it being described as 'easily blendable'. It just applies badly and you really need to work at it to make it look nice. All in all I'm very disappointed. I look better without wearing foundation than when I wear this.

Bad Quality Bottle exterior, impossible to squeeze out all of the product, only squeezes up to 3-7 uses :(

The foundation is good but this bottle is Terrible. It is very hard thick plastic exterior and super hard to squeeze. The tip is also annoying because if it was an open headed bottle, the foundation can be taken out easily with a foundation brush like most prestige foundations. But this tip is as tiny as a syringe on an injection! It took all my power to squeeze two pumps before my wrist started hurting with pain. I returned this foundation :( Will not repurchase unless they start making a better shaped bottle in which the foundation wont be such a pain to take out. Also I warn you this bottle will barely do 4-6 uses before it cant squeeze anymore. Many other customers also complained that they can only take out 25% of product, the rest is still in the bottle but not able to be squeezed out due to a needle tiny opening and 75% of product is wasted (unless you figure out a way to literally cut this bottle open in half with a scissor to reach the remaining product on top half of the bottle lol). What a shame.

Fabulous

Love skin base, have 7 shades in my kit which cover all clients either on their own or by mixing them. The coverage is great, very long wearing, natural and buildable. My clients love how light and natural it feels on and how flawless their skin looks. Love it!!

Absolutely wonderful

I can't recommend this product enough! I have incredibly fair skin, and I can mix the white base with any regular pale foundation 1:1 and not only does it color match my foundations but it also adds coverage, which is amazing. I love this product and will continue buying it as long as possible.

Hands down the best foundation.

This foundation just blends into your skin so perfectly, it makes you look like you aren't wearing any at all. I go between this and mac face and body for every day wear. It is a buildable foundation however I personally don't like the finish as much when I feel there is to much product on the skin. It also have such an amazing range of colours that I might buy it for more highlight and contour purposes to create that effortless finish.
