The most intense black eyeshadow I own

I purchased this product as I was after an intense black powder eyeshadow and was not impressed with what MAC and some of the other big names had to offer. Obsidian is highly pigmented so it means there is less needed. It also stays put all night and doesn't migrate down your face like some other brands. There are no sparkles or shimmers in this, which I believe makes it more versatile and the texture is quite matte.

red purple

Great looking purple, very rich. This is a red purple. Makes me think of regal purple. Very pigmented. Lovely lovely!

This one I had to swatch 3 times to get good coverage. Still a great eyeshadow but not so pigmented as others straightaway. Very high quality & smooth to apply.

Bright

Very pigmented blue. Virtually true to colour depicted. I really have been happy with all of my Illamasqua single eyeshadows-they are really very good. Good staying power too. Recommended.

Beautiful for brown eyes

This looks great on brown eyes. I was inspired by a picture of a kingfisher bird and teamed it with "intense" blue. Looked fab.

The "Jack of all trades" of eyeshadow!

I have repurchased this eyeshadow 6 times in the last year and a half.. I use this every time I apply make up. It's perfect for filling in brows for blondes, crease and lid for eyes, and I use it mostly for CONTOUR!! it's perfect for giving you a natural shadow! I contour my nose all the time and it gives me that Kim Kardashian nose job effect! Perfect in the temples and cheekbones and under the jaw!! Seriously! Get this! You need this! haha <3

Neutral with a "Kick"

"Forgiveness" has enough brown in it to allow it to qualify as a "neutral, but it's plummy enough to have that special quality that really makes my green eyes "pop." I like to wear "Forgiveness" in the crease, with a matte medium taupe on the lid, a neutral highlight, plum liner, and black mascara. When I wear this combination, I get compliments on my eyes, not on my makeup, and that's exactly my aim. In addition to being a wonderful color, "Forgiveness" is smooth, richly pigmented, and superbly blendable. It lasts well, even on my very oily lids, over a good primer. I'd happily buy "Forgiveness" again; in fact, I'm already eyeballing other Illamasqua shadows. Shipping to the U.S. is not cheap, but for products like this, from a cruelty-free company, it's *totally* worth it! If you love non-boring neutrals, and especially if you have green eyes, you NEED this shadow!

Obsidian - Rich black eyeshadow.

It can be hard to find a good black eyeshadow, many are just very wishy washy & have no depth. This is very good & has great pigmentation. Also great when used wet. Good staying power. As said in my other review of daemon scarlet shadow, this black eyeshadow is a great colour to use in Asian bridal makeup. It can be hard to find a good black eyeshadow for ethnic skins, so I recommended this. I use this personally as a liner/wet with sealing gel - very multi purpose!
