3I've been using this for a week, if not longer, and it isn't consistent. One day my face will stay matte, other days (following the same routine) my face is shiney in a short space of time following application.

Matte primer
1I really like many illamasqua products but this one is not one of them. The primer is very grainy/coarse and if it comes too close to the eyes they'll water for hours (I've never reacted to any makeup before). Also it does not make the skin matte as most pimers, it feels kind of sticky when on and I guess it is designed only to be worn under makeup . But actually it doesn't do wonders under the makeup either.

5This works perfectly with my oily skin! It doesn't feel like covering my skin in a sort of coating like many other primers but absorbs into it like it isn't even there. It holds off shine for hours, not an entire day but then no make-up product really does. I think this has actually helped a bit with my acne problems as well. So happy, definitely recommend it!

Good for oily skin.
4Bought this in recommendation by one of the girls at illamasqua in store and I am definitely purchasing again. I have a very oily t-zone, I still get an oily nose but it's not as bad as it is without the matte primer. I had the primer for a year, I wear it probably 2-3 days a week, so I think it lasted well for the price as well.

Worth the purchase!
4This was the first Illamasqua product I tried, and was hooked ever since! I'm not a fan of heavily perfumed foundations/primers, but I will totally forgive this one, it smells incredible, almost like icing?! Aside from the great smell, it works. I've had a bit of an issue regarding durability with it, as I wear a lot of liquid foundation and use a flat brush as opposed to stippling brush/beauty blender, so maybe a lighter foundation if using this? I have combination skin and it's great, but for more oily I'd recommend hydra veil as I found it a little better, but that's just me. You can definitely see the difference with/without though!

5This is a great primer. I love the matt look but don't like the idea of my face looking flat & dull either... However this primer gives my face a great balance of the matt effect as well as life, if that makes any sense lol my face didn't look anywhere near as matt as the advertised pic which is great! I have generally dry skin but with an oily t-zone on my face & it really did control those oily areas. A bit pricey but worth it :o)

Best Primer For Oily/Combination Skin
5This primer evens out combination skin, if you have oily areas and dry areas. It also is great for holding make-up in to place, and I wouldn't say it keeps my skin 'matte' but it definitely substantially reduces shine. I find it works really well under Skin Base, Rich Liquid, and the Vichy range of foundations. I use it day and night and it's wonderful.

Smooth!
5I can't believe how good this is. It manages to create a very smooth, pore-less complexion. I've also found my foundation lasts hours longer without having to be touched up. Definitely worth having!
