Rocken' the Pale Look...
5The formula is great. It glides on easily for me and feels smooth on the lips. A couple of passes and my lips turn grey and dramatically pale (like it looks on the bullet). I'll have fun playing with the matt finish by transforming it into a gloss, make it satin... I'll even stick glitter over it! I love that I have the option to do so. My imagination is loving this! WooHOO!!!

YES!!
5ESP is rich and heavily pigmented. I do not find it 'dry' or 'difficult' to apply. On the contrary, it goes on smooth for me. A couple of passes on the lips and it goes from opaque to a deep purple. A fantastic change from wearing brick or burgundy reds! I love that I have the option of making this matt formula glossy on the lips and/or even satiny or not. ESP is definitely rock star color and the formula is perfect! I can't believe I waited so long. I am an Illamasqua lipstick convert! Please, please, please... keep making this color. LOVE!!!

Berry beautiful!
5Salacious was my very first Illamasqua lipstick, and I love it! I don’t care for the name, but love the lipstick! I have a rather huge collection of lipsticks, but I didn't have another color quiiite like Salacious. Salacious is really the absolutely perfect deep berry red, with pink undertones. It's a wonderfully "clear" color, with no muddy tones, but it's deep and rich, rather than garish. The texture is smooth, though maybe a tiiny bit on the drier side. Lip balm underneath easily fixes that. I detect a very faint "crayon-y" scent, but there's no detectable taste. Salacious wears beautifully, leaving a pretty berry stain behind. Unfortunately, no store in the U.S. seems to carry this particular shade, so I ordered it directly from Illamasqua.com. I live in Texas, so I was pleasantly surprised when my lipstick arrived in just under a week after I placed the order. Salacious is so great that it has me eyeing other Illamasqua lipsticks. Illamasqua is a non-animal-testing company, which is important to me. I'd gladly buy Salacious again, as well as other Illamasqua products.

Amazing colour
4I was debating whether to buy this or not for ages. Finally took the plunge and ordered it last week. The colour is magnificent and looks fab with black hair, and is true to the photos shown. However, the only problem for me is the longevity, as after one drink I was left with only an outline left. I'm going to try it with a primer next time to see if this helps. Otherwise I would really recommend it if you want to look different from everyone else!

Love love love
4Saw a few bad reviews on this colour but still bought it hoping i liked it and as soon as I put it on I loved it!! Didn't find it too orangey either like others, must mark it down that it's a bit too dry to wear on its own I wear it with a hydrating lip liner and sometimes a lip balm on top!

colour change
4I used to love the colour immensely but something must have changed in the formula of the colour. I bought my first Scandal in 2012 and it was a pink toned coral and suited my fair skin perfectly. It was a bold colour but still wearable throughout the day. When I reordered the lipstick it was a much more orange/red toned coral and wasn't the same anymore. I would love to order a new one but can't be sure I get the colour I want. I give 5 stars to the old Scandal and only 3 to the new one since it's still a lovely lipstick shade but just not the Scandal I fell in love with. Makes 4 stars alltogether. Please get the old Scandal back..

It's LOVE!
5I must admit that I ordered Sangers in the course of a search for the dupe of a much-loved, long-discontinued favorite clear red lipstick from another brand. Sangers is not that dupe, but it’s loveably gorgeous in its own right. Why do I love thee, Sangers? I love thee because you are true red, not pink, not blue-ish, not burgundy, not orange, not rose, but RED, and you look that way on very fair, pinkish me, without going a garish pink in that annoying way that too many “red” lipsticks do. Illamasqua describes Sangers’ color as “blood red,” and that’s pretty accurate, though, at least to me, Sangers is brighter than that description implies. It’s a beautiful balance – a no-doubt-about-it true red that’s deep enough to be classy, but bright enough to make a statement. Sangers may tend to be a tiiiny bit on the warm side, but not enough to bother even an orange-phobe such as I am. In fact, this warmish tendency may be what enables Sangers to look lusciously red instead of infuriatingly fuchsia on me, so I’m certainly not going to complain. And, Sangers, I love you for your texture – not especially moisturizing, but comfortable to wear, with a bit of balm underneath. This lipstick is what I’d call a “velvet,” since it boasts a matte-but-not-flat finish, generous pigmentation without looking or feeling heavy or chalky, and it admirable wear. I put a red stain underneath, just to be sure I don’t get the “red-ring effect” after drinking or eating, but for this kind of color, I’d be willing to do touch-ups. Sangers, I also love your sleek, serviceable packaging, though packaging is really not that important to me. The black plastic tube looks chic and feels sturdy and substantial. Last, but far from least, Sangers, I love that I can buy and wear you happily, because you’re made by a cruelty-free company. The only things I might change are your price (> $20) and your very limited availability here in the U.S. Overseas shipping is a bear, but for a color like this, I can deal. I DEFINITELY plan to repurchase Sangers, one way or another, when the time comes.

Beautiful for fall
5Since I already own numerous plum/berry/wine lipsticks, I tried to talk myself out of buying "Shard." Oh, darn - I failed. I tried long and hard to resist, but when I had a bit of extra cash, I abandoned all pretense of self-control and ordered it, even though paying $14 to have it shipped to me in the U.S. made my toes curl a little. I must say, it was worth it! I realize that the tendency of Illamasqua lipstick to be rather dry puts some people off. However, I find that a bit of balm underneath works wonders, and "Shard" doesn't seem to me to be one of Illamasqua's drier lipsticks, anyhow. At least on me, "Shard" goes on smoothly; it may have a very slight tendency toward patchiness, but for a color like this one (deep plum wine - red-based) I'll tolerate just about anything. "Shard" is a delicious berry/plum/wine. It looks darker in the tube than it applies on lips. In the tube, I thought it looked a bit too brownish for me, but on the lips "Shard" is lighter, brighter, and redder. "Shard" has a matte/cream finish, so I add a drop of raspberry-colored lip gloss on top, and the result is stunningly gorgeous, and perfect for fall/winter. This lipstick can literally make you look like you've been eating berries or drinking wine, if you dab the color on, like a stain. I prefer to wear it full-on, straight from the tube. I wear a reddish plum liner with "Shard," and the lipstick lasts for hours, though not all day. You'll need to touch up if you eat or drink, but I think it's completely worth it. "Shard" stands out, even in my collection of 100+ lipsticks. I wish it were sold in the U.S., but, unless I can find a suitable dupe, I'd buy this one again. Packing is simple and sleek, but sturdy.

I almost don't want to use it.
4It's my favourite lipstick so far! I've just asked my friend to get it for me when she was in the States and my gosh, my heart was just so happy when I first saw it. I think it's the perfect purple for me, and even my mum loves the colour! She said it's so 90's! Hahaha. The colour pay-off is amazing, but the application is a tad bit difficult. It's soooo matte that it rubs vigorously on my lips and I fear for its life.
