I have used this belt for 5 years as a professional hair and makeup artist and it is truly unbeatable. Every time I try a new belt or brush holder, I always come back to this one. Although I'm small, I chose the large belt size so that I can wear it across my body when I am on set and it works perfectly. I have stuffed this to the absolute limit with brushes and the quality is amazing, it hasn't ripped or given way, it just keeps growing with my kit. If it ever does break, I will certainly purchase another. It is the piece of kit I cant live without.

I bought this on a whim as it was payday, and after adding the SB Foundation to my basket I wanted to explore everything else Illamasqua had to offer. I fell in love with it as soon as I seen it. It made me want to re-do and clear out all my make up and current storage system. The bag itself comes with the buckle belt attached, which gives it a real professional look as to a standard brush bag, there is more than enough space for many different sized brushes and even larger pockets at the bottom, great for keeping cotton pads etc. The material (not sure what it is) is wipe clean, and the bag has a nice plain black look with detailed zipper. Pretty steep for the price but the quality cannot be faulted and I see this lasting me a long time.

I ordered a brush belt and it arrived in good time, however, it was damaged. I suspect it was removed from another box before it was packaged into mine because there was a score from a carpet knife in the faux leather. I photographed the damage there and then and checked illamasqua's return policy which limits to return within 7 days. I had a lot of freelance work beginning immediately so I decided to just use the belt despite the damage. I know that's my choice but it just made me sad because I know the person who packed the box had probably damaged the item but still sent it out. It's a very overpriced item for what it is - what the artist is paying for is to carry the illamasqua branding on their belt, which I would have been proud to do, but now it's tainted for me somewhat. What I would ideally like is to have the belt replaced.

I have a large brush holder from another company (EMJ) but I find it takes up a lot of space and I'm always to-ing and fro-ing back and forth. The Illamasqua brush belt looks good, I love the zipper logo, and it holds all my essential brushes, the rest I carry in x2 brush pots - a MUA can't have enough brushes, right!
