“I love working the UMA Expo purely because of how inspirational the whole weekend is and the amazing people you get to meet. Whether it be new faces or people you recognise from following their work online or catching up with students you have previous held talks and demos for.”
– Charlotte Savoury, Illamasqua Brand Ambassador.
“This is my favourite Pro Make up show of the year. It is friendly and informative, so much education and networking.” – Spob, Head of Professional Development at Illamaqua
If you were lucky enough to attend the UMA Expo this year at the Business Design Centre in London then you would have found us positioned towards the front of the venue, welcoming visitors into our ‘lounge.’
“Our “lounge area” was always busy and my favourite was when a college tutor sat down with her new Illamasqua palette and brush and proceeded to do her own, then everyone elses brows who was sat around the area.” – Helen Roche, Illamasqua Make-up Artist and part of Illamasqua Pro team. Helen handles all the applications and assists our Head of Professional Development, Spob, on many college events.
“The Illamasqua lounge was the perfect place to catch up with so many Pro make-up artists. I sat down with so many and we talked about products, films and awards. Real food for thought…Catching up with the wonderfully talented Daniel Philips (The Queen, The Duchess) was a show highlight for me and finally to meet face-to-face Andrew Guilmore and Sharon Dowsett. But as always talking to so many Make-up buddies from across the UK, what a busy bunch!!” – Spob
“That is the joy of this show that you can network and learn all under one roof without the crowds. I was so proud of the Illamasqua team as everyone kept coming and saying what a lovely, friendly and professional team.” – Spob
Some lovely make up girlies chilling out with us in the lounge:
We set up our lounge at the expo last year and due to its great success, we brought it back! Our team consisted of a mix of our artists and head office staff to give you a well rounded hub of illamasqua knowledge and assistance. The expo was brimming with talent from body painting experts, to wigs to prosthetics so this really was a make-up artists dream weekender!

We had demos from Brand Ambassador Zoe on the Saturday;
Charlotte, our International Brand Ambassador also gave a demo to an audience brimming with enthusiasm and excitement.
Charlotte on the demo:
“My demonstration was to give an insight into the courses we hold at the school. I chose to demonstrate the Creativity Box course to show a different approach to makeup and how to look at and use products in alternative ways. Really breaking down individual products and adding alternative medium to them even down to something as simple as water and then the possibilities with Illamasqua products are endless.”

We had some great offers running throughout the weekend including:
