Hey all,
We headed back to South Bank for this edition of Street Style. If you’re a regular reader of our weekly posts you may have read about our last trip to this area where we spotted some lovely late Summer/Autumn fashion and makeup looks. We also told you about all of the great things to do at South Bank; you can check out that post here.
We ventured to South Bank to visit their Christmas Market. This second visit offered a prime opportunity to look at the contrast in style spots now that Winter is upon us: think chunky scarves and long coats.
This area resides alongside the Thames (hence the name South Bank) which means the Christmas lights that adorn the trees down the river, offer stunning views.
Strolling along, you will find a collection of decorated huts all selling festive treats. Even if you’re not hungry, we bet the smells of the various food huts will entice you to buy. There is also a designated food and drink area, perfect for sharing the evenings with friends, admiring the Christmas lights and sampling some mulled wine. Just make sure you wrap up warm!
If you want to visit with the whole family then this adorable wooden train that runs alongside the Thames is sure to be a fun choice for adults and children alike.

In a jolly and festive mood, we soon got to style spotting around the market and it wasn’t long before we found Nadia who is currently studying in London. In terms of makeup she adores neutral tones including nude lips. If you’re a nude lip lover too, try our Nude Selector to find the perfect shade for your skin tone.
Nadia summed up her fashion sense as elegant and that she finds it “impossible to be without heels”.

By the London Eye we met Maz who impressed us with her eyeliner. Talking of eyeliner, Maz revealed it’s her favourite product. If it’s your fave too then you might like our Precision Gel Liner or Precision Ink.
What Maz loves most about makeup is “the way it can change your face and make you look more awake”. We definitely agree, makeup has saved us on countless mornings! On her lips, Maz was wearing a warm shade of pink that we think looks a lot like Lipstick in Corrupt if you want to get her look.

Next we met Sarah who we were thrilled to hear is a fan of Illamasqua. She pays frequent visits to our Selfridges London counter as she works in Selfrridges.
Lipstick is Sarah’s product of choice if she could only choose one. When we asked her what shade she’d choose, she opted for a pinky orange just like our Lipstick in Over. For a shade like the one Sarah was wearing when we met her, use Lipstick in Eurydice.

As we already mentioned, we spotted A LOT of chunky scarves at South Bank and here were a few of our favourite stylings of them:
Raven’s checked scarf contrasted well against her black coat. She says she’s loving casual and quite masculine pieces for the Winter. Follow her on Instagram here.
Sophie’s gorgeous floral scarf added a touch of Summer to her Winter look. The hot months may be long gone but that doesn’t mean we can’t still inject bright colours into our wardrobe. Follow Sophie on Instagram here.
Maria who was visiting London was rocking a fur jacket (faux of course!) and keeping her outfit bold with a patterned bag. Follow Maria on Instagram here.
We hope this post has got you into the Christmas spirit but if not then hopefully next week’s Winter Wonderland post will! We’ll be visiting the festive extravaganza in Hyde Park tomorrow so look out for us if you want to get spotted!
