Street Style: Shoreditch! 1st October 2014

Hey everyone!

This week we headed back to East London to hang out near London College of Fashion. Shoreditch High Street was brimming with interesting street art (just like it’s neighbour Brick Lane), quirky cafés and a bunch of cool fashionistas! We couldn’t keep up with all the amazing looks we spotted so this week’s post is jam-packed with all our faves. Take a look and comment below telling us YOUR favourite!

The first of the looks we spotted was on Hannah who works in fashion so is constantly “taking inspiration from colleagues while at work”. She’s currently loving the poncho trend at the moment and was sporting a monochrome one herself.

In terms of makeup when recreating the look, a dark berry lip would compliment the outfit and we think Glamore Lipstick in Vampette would work well!

Ayano’s chunky white shoes were the perfect accompaniment to her cute outfit and caught my eye straight away!

Ayano owns her own jewellery company and takes inspiration from the catwalks in her designing. She’d kept her makeup natural looking, a touch of blusher in Naked Rose would work well if you like to keep it natural too!

As a girl with 80% black clothing in my wardrobe, I personally loved Alice’s all black choice – especially the skirt!! Alice works in fashion production so draws inspiration from work by watching the artists around her as well as browsing Instagram for ideas!

Alice was actually on a shoot when we grabbed her had kept her makeup work-suitable. For a flawless complexion like Alice’s pair Matte Veil with Skin Base Foundation. If all black everything is usually your outfit of choice too then why not add a pop of colour with a bright purse like Alice did or try a bright lip using Lipstick in ESP.

Fashion student, Candice was keeping it simple but stylish with her green jeans and denim shirt. She says she likes tomboyish clothing and takes her inspiration from nature.

Candice had made her statement brows the key feature to her makeup. If you like her look then recreate with Eye Brow Cake and opt for a nude shade on the lips. Find the perfect nude for you using our nude selector here.

Aimee is also a fashion student and her grunge-chic style caught my eye. She was rocking an extreme winged liner, which if you’re a fan of, then you’ll be pleased to know that Precision Gel Liner is perfect for the job!

“I like wearing all black” says Aimee, “I like wearing stuff that people think I look like a freak in!” We love that Aimee chooses to express herself through what she wears, here at Illamasqua we believe that makeup allows you to be whoever you want to be! To take Aimee’s look from day to night you could add a dark lip using Intense Lipgloss in Hermetic!

My eyes lit up when I saw Lyanne’s amazing purple lipstick! When I asked her what shade of lipstick she would wear if she could only wear one for the rest of her life she said “one like this! A bold, statement shade!” We recommend Lipstick in Kontrol if you dare to rock purple lips too!

Lyanne is a dancer and had just come from a class. She said she likes to look at Instagram for inspiration and couldn’t live without concealer. If concealer is your must-have too then be sure to check out our Skin Base Lift!

I liked the way Emma’s outfit was effortlessly cool with her trainers and aviators but that she had still injected a touch of glamour into the ensemble with a pretty statement necklace.

Emma works for a magazine and said although she’s usually a heels kinda girl she’s been loving flats lately. Talking makeup she prefers to wear nothing but a dark lip! When I met her, she had kept her makeup natural looking and let her outfit do the talking! A light pink lip could have worked though, try Rosepout if you want add a subtle pink tone to your lips.

Adriana who is originally from Minnesota looked great in her knee-high boots and floral dress. If you’re not ready to say goodbye to summer yet (we certainly aren’t!) then adding some black accessories to your favourite summer dress like Adriana’s is the perfect way to transition into Autumn.

Adriana’s lashes were slightly twiggy-esque – thick and separated. They definitely worked well with her outfit choice! If thick lashes are your thing too, build up to the look using Masquara in Raven.
