Street Style: Best of 2014!

The Best of…

Street Style

As we approach the end of 2014 we thought we would select our favourite make-up looks we’ve captured during our ‘Street Style’ this year.

Chloe’s first ever Street Style trip was to Camden where she found sisters Amanda (right) and Jade (left) who loved bold Lipstick (find the full post here). To create a base as flawless as theirs use our Skin Base Foundation which comes in 25 different shades! For Amanda’s autumnal lip use our Glamore Lipstick in Vampette or if you’re feeling a little more daring like Jade use our Lipstick in Apocalips for a similar teal shade.

We were blown away by Durano’s glittery festive look at Winter Wonderland a couple of weeks back (find the post here), to recreate this beautiful look use our Neutral Palette as a base before adding Pure Pigment in Ore mixed with a drop of Sealing Gel over the top of the lid, the gel will help to keep the glitter in place ready for you dance the night away on New Year and still look as good as at the end of the night when you left home. As a finishing touch add some false eye lashes like ours in No.14.

Make up artist Diana who has used our products before we spotted walking by One New Change, St Pauls. We’ve noticed that dark vampy autumnal looks are more popular than ever this year and Diana pulls off the trent expertly, try our Glamore Lipstick in Rockabilly if you’re looking for something similar. Our Glamore shades have a satin finish so are perfect for the winter months when you need something a little more moisturising. The one product Diana couldn’t live without is her eye brow pencil, for bold defined brows try our Eye Brow Cake or Precision Brow Gel in Strike depending on which texture you prefer.

Whilst in Brixton (full post here) we met the lovely Marine sporting her favourite shade of lipstick which was a deep berry colour, if you love the look and are after something similar try our Lipstick in Shard. Marine had mastered the winged eye liner perfectly, if you find it difficult to match up the wings try using our Fine Eye Liner Brush to help you, add a small amount of Precision Gel Liner at a time until you build up to your desired look. For a flawless matte finish to the skin dusk over your face with our translucent Loose Powder in 010 which will keep you shine-free all day long.

Also in Brixton we met Zina who gets her inspiration from old movies, the 1950’s and bloggers. The one product she can’t live without is eye liner which looks great on her paired with a statement lip! Use our Precision Ink in Abyss for long-lasting waterproof flicks. For deep berry lips use our Lip Colouring Pencil in Severity to line and fill in the lips, then why not try our Cream Pigment in Mould dabbed on top for a long lasting matte finish?

A little closer to home (Illamasqua HQ), we spotted Christine in Angel (read the full post here). She takes her inspiration from the 1950’s and we love her pin-up girl look! Part of this staple look is having mattified skin, we’d recommend using our Matte Primer before applying you foundation to achieve this look. Our Eye Brow Cake in Stark mixed with a drop of Sealing Gel is the best way for you to achieve a similar look to Christine, the innovative gel will set the powder keeping them bold all day. Once you’ve applied feline flicks, add lashings of our Masquara to your top lashes to lengthen. A classic pin-up look isn’t complete without a statement lip, we suggest lining your lips with our Lip Colouring Pencil in Feisty before adding a deep scarlett red lipstick such as our Lipstick in Box.
