Hi everyone,
The second port of call for our Street Style series was Portobello Road which is famous for its legendary street market. Set in the heart of Notting Hill, the market and shops boast an eclectic array of goods from antiques to fruit and veg! Red lipstick proved to be popular amongst the shoppers of Portobello Road so it’s a running theme in this week’s post! Red lippy is a staple in any makeup collection and as this post will serve to prove, there really is a shade for everyone!
A five minute walk from Notting Hill Gate station, a selection of second-hand, antique and souvenir shops, as well as a crowd of people, guides the way to the market. The houses and shops are painted a variety of colours, making for a scenic walk towards the market.
Once there, you can find hand-made pieces, second-hand books and an abundance of food stalls that are definitely worth trying out!

Under the bridge, you will come across a collection of clothing stalls, perfect for discovering a one-off vintage piece. It was here that I found Amy, browsing the stalls on the way to meet a friend. I loved her vibrant headscarf and the fact that her lipstick coordinated perfectly!
When speaking on which shade she’d wear if she could only wear one for the rest of her life she chose the one she was wearing! Salacious would be great for recreating Amy’s look as it’s a pinky red shade.
Amy was sporting a winged liner that you could recreate with Precision Ink in Abyss. While on the subject of eyes, Amy revealed that the one product she couldn’t live without is mascara. If like Amy, you couldn’t live without mascara either then our Masquara is for you!

Next, I found Yeliz touching up her makeup, taking a break from a day of shopping. When I asked her what new makeup product she’d like to invent, she decided upon something that makes eyeliner easier. We feel your pain Yeliz, achieveing the perfect matching eyeliner is a skill that can take some time to master! But practise makes perfect, so if you have this problem too then grab our Precision Gel Liner and get practising 😉
The product Yeliz couldn’t live without is foundation; if you’re the same then be sure to check out our Skin Base Foundation! On her lips, Yeliz was wearing an orangey red shade. We suggest Liable if you think this shade is for you!

The final look I spotted in Portobello Road was on Niks who was out for lunch with her Mum, rocking a bright red lip that made the perfect accompaniment to her monochrome outfit.
\
Niks said she draws inspiration from magazines for her look and that she couldn’t live without lipstick. We feel the same! Lipstick is the perfect accessory, as Niks demonstrates. If you feel like opting for a classic bright red like Niks then try Maneater!
You can follow Niks on Instagram here.

That’s all for this week, we hope you loved the red lip themed visit to Portobello Road as much as we did! Share any looks you recreate and your red lippy looks with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I’ll be visiting the West End this Thursday afternoon so say be sure to say hello if you see me (there’s a picture of me on my first Street Style post) and for a chance to be featured on next week’s post!
