Congratulations Spob O Brien!
Earlier this week, Spob O Brien – our Head of Professional Development – won a Silver Award at the British Arrows Craft Awards 2013. Her team won ‘Best Make-up, Hair and Prosthetics’ for an IKEA advert named ‘One Room Paradise’ and admittedly we’re not surprised it’s an award winner because we all LOVED it when she showed it to us in the office! See what all of the fuss is about here…
To create the looks for this fantasy advert, they used 3D printing, face charts, hand made wigs and buffed Skin Base Foundation, Hydra Veil and Gleam in Supernatural onto the skin.
We all love the story behind this advert. Spob initially created face charts for the model using all Illamasqua products. Then, they pantone colour matched the products when using 3D printing to create the faces for the model to wear.
Products used…
- Lipstick in Eurydice
- Cream Blusher in Dixie
- Skin Base Foundation in Shade 06
- Eye Brow Cake in Thunder
- Precision Gel Liner in Infinity
- Powder Eye Shadow in Toxic
- Masquara in Raven
- Nail Varnish in Collide
Spob told me that the main thing that they changed in each face was the model’s eyebrows! Although the position of her mouth changed too, it was the eyebrows that were key in demonstrating her emotion. In every mask her eyes and nose remained the same.
We hope you will join us in wishing all of her team your congratulations for their well deserved success.
