Social Media Intern Tracey Bids Farewell to Illamasqua

Hello all! My name is Tracey and for the past month I have been the Social Media intern here at Illamasqua – a short a sweet experience that I am incredibly grateful for having the opportunity to do. I am currently studying a degree in Fashion Communication and Promotion, however makeup and beauty is something I have always had a passion for. Therefore, landing myself an internship here at Illamasqua, a brand I love and judge so highly has been an amazing experience for me – I have enjoyed every minute of it!

In my short four weeks I have not only learnt how to manage all the social media channels, provide support to the social media and PR department, create competitor analysis presentations and worked upon my creative writing skills in assistance of the writing and reporting on the Illamasqua social media channels, website and Socialise page – but I have learnt a wealth of information about Illamasqua as a brand, its values and what it supports. I have learnt how incredibly welcoming and friendly all of the Illamasqua team is – something that made my time here especially enjoyable! I would like to say on here a massive thank you to the hilarious Heidi (Social Media Executive), Nicola (Head of Communications), Sarah (PR Executive) and fellow intern Kiera – all of whom I have had the pleasure to work closely with!

Please feel free to take a look at some of my Socialise pieces on here, which I especially enjoyed. I had the freedom of what subject and style of writing I could create for the Illamasqua page, as well as giving ideas into developing the aesthetic of the page. Read my pieces from recent trends, such as The 90s’ Revival, Ombre Take Over or Festival-Ready Make-Up Essentials, to the S.O.P.H.I.E charity that Illamasqua proudly supports, not to forget any interviews including ‘Glam’ and ‘Gore’ makeup artist Mykie.

Not only have I been spoilt with welcoming (and leaving :() breakfast and lunches, not to forget some incredible Illamasqua freebies, that I adore! But today being my last day, I was treated to an amazing makeover in the flagship Illamasqua store on Beak Street with the incredibly talented Jack. So although I am sad to be leaving… At least my makeups looking good! See Below 😉

I’ll finish by saying a massive thanks again Illamasqua and it’s wonderful team! I have had a fabulous time –  that went so quickly! My makeup and Illamasqua obsession will only grow stronger….

Love Tracey xo
