The Jubilee has set the UK into a patriotic frenzy! Oxford Street is covered in flags, bunting and everything is red, white and blue, making me very proud to be British.
As the only British beauty brand in the Selfridges Beauty Hall, we were so excited to have 2 windows dressed in all of Illamasqua’s theatrical glory. Pedestrians and shoppers could see Illamasqua mannequins done up as royal queens, drag queens and prom queens in the windows, inviting them to book in for a complimentary transformation, by royal appointment.
Their was an over whelming buzz throughout the Beauty Hall was people danced past the DJ and Selfridges provided champagne and nibbles to all Big British Bang participants.
Illamasqua was lucky enough to have top nail artist from our Human Fundamentalism, Naked Strangers and AW12 (watch this space), Rebecca Wilson on counter for one day only, creating avant garde nail art and pretty polishes for Illamasqua lovers. Rebecca flew back from L.A the day before to attend the royal appointments!
Our customers were greeted by a beautifully elegant Drag Queen who welcomed them to the Illamasqua counter.
The Jubilee celebrations are still going on down at the Selfridges London Beauty Hall so head down to see the beautifully embellished Illamasqua counter.
