I am back with another Easter nail art look just in time for easter weekend! Today I have created a slightly different look, focusing on an Easter chick hatching from its egg. With all our Speckled Nail Varnishes being back in stock, I couldn’t resist sneaking one into my look. As always I have put together a step-by-step pictorial, and if you recreate this look yourself, or create another Easter nail art look, I would love to see a picture!
What will you need?
All you will need to create this look is Nail Varnish in Optimist, Purity, Scarce, Gamma and Boosh. You will also need Precision Ink in Scribe, Top Coat and a dotting tool (alternatively you can use a tooth pick or the end of a hair grip)!
Step 1: Paint your thumb and index finger nail in two coats of Speckled Nail Varnish in Scarce and all other nails in a mixture of Purity and Optimist (in order to mix these shades, I put a small amount of each onto a piece of paper and mixed using a small brush).
Step 2: Taking Nail Varnish in Boosh onto a dotting tool, create a crack in the egg on the index finger.
Step 3: Using Speckled Nail Varnish in Scarce, create the cracked egg remains on the top and bottom of the middle finger, as well as on the bottom of the ring finger. To achieve this I used the dotting tool to create a outline and then filled this in.
Step 4: Next taking Gamma onto the dotting tool, create the chicks nose on the middle, ring and little finger. Also using Gamma create two small feet on the little finger. Using Precision Ink in Scribe and Nail Varnish in Boosh, create two eyes on both the ring and little finger. Finally once everything is dry, add a layer of Top Coat to each nail to seal your nail art into place and prevent chipping.
And there you have your hatching Easter chick nail art!
What do you think of these nails? As I mentioned earlier if you recreate this look or any other easter nail art please share a picture with me through #Illamasqua on Instagram, @Illamasqua on Twitter or post a photo on our Facebook wall! We would also love to know what you guys are up to this easter weekend.
Happy Nail Art-ing! Sam xx
