This week I thought I would incorporate our valentines collection nail varnish Throb into my nail art look. If you haven’t seen our Im The One Valentines collection yet go and take a look at our scarlet quartet! So as I said Nail Varnish in Throb is part of the collection and is by far my favourite Illamasqua red nail varnish as I love how Throb is a deep toned red. I created this heart nail art look which is great for valentines day so if you want to find out how I created it keep reading!
Step 1:
To begin I painted all nails in two layers of Loella. Loella is the perfect pink to use as a contrast to Throb and great for a valentines feel, however you could also use an alternative shade if you wish.
Step 2:
Next I took Throb on a dotting tool and created the outline of the heart and also a vertical line down the centre of the nail. This will act as a guide for filling in the nail to create the heart design.
Step 3:
Once I completed step two on all nails I took Throb, again on a dotting tool, and filled in the heart on one side of the nail, and also the surrounding area of the heart on the opposite side.
Step 4:
Finally after all nails have dried, paint a layer of top coat onto each nail. This will seal in the nail art and prevent your nails from chipping.
I hope you have enjoyed this nail art look. If you recreate this look yourselves or create any other nail art we would love to see! Share a picture with us through #Illamasqua, @Illamasqua on Twitter or post a photo on our Facebook Wall.
Happy Nail-Arting! Sam xx
