Samantha’s Mid-Week Inspiration: Sacred Stone Nails

frame

With the new Illamasqua collection ‘The Sacred Hour’ bringing the Sacred Stones, this weeks nail look is using the Sacred Stones to create the sparkling gemy nails shown above. So if you want to find out how I achieved this look keep reading!

So to begin with, what will you need in order to create these nails?

what will you need

All you will need is Nail Varnish in Hemlock and a Top Coat, and also a pack of Sacred Stones.

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Step 1:

To begin this look you need to give your nails a base colour using Hemlock. I applied 2 quite thick coats of Hemlock to my nails to begin with as it is quite sheer.

Step 2:

The next step is sticking the Sacred Stones to the nail. In order to ensure they stay in place I applied another layer of Hemlock to one nail and placed the stones onto the nail straight away. I then did the same for the rest of the nails until all the stones were applied.

Step 3:

The final step of this look is placing a top coat over all the nails. I applied quite a thick layer of top coat to ensure both the stones and any nail showing through were covered. This will then ensure that the stones stay in place and that the nail varnish underneath does not chip.

Personally I LOVE my nails covered in Sacred Stones, however if this look is too much for you you could alternatively just place the sacred stones onto one nail to create an accent nail, much like the image below.
