I’m back with another dose of mid-week inspiration for those of you who enjoy a bit of nail art like me! This week I decided to try something a bit different and use nail art stripping tape to create a bright stripy/ geometric design. As always I have put together a step by step tutorial as to how I created this nail art. Also there is a competition to win all the nail varnishes I used in this tutorial so keep an eye out on our Facebook page!
What will you need?
In order to create the bright stripe nail art you will need Nail Varnish in Gamma, Rare, Grab and Boosh. You will also need a Top coat and some nail stripping tape (alternatively you could cut selotape into thin strips for the same effect).
Step 1: Paint three striped onto your nails using Gamma, Rare and Grab. Don’t worry too much about making this really neat as once the black is painted over the top there wont be much of this showing.
Step 2: Place the stripping tape over the nail once the stripes are dry. I chose to do mine randomly over the nail, however alternatively you could do them straight to create stripes.
Step 3: Paint Boosh over the whole nail.
Step 4: Once Boosh is completely dry peel off the stripping tape to reveal your pattern! Now paint Top Coat over all nails.
Thank you so much for reading, I really hope you like this nail art! If you recreate the look yourself I would love to see a photo so share one via our social media channels. #Illamasqua on Instagram, @Illamasqua on Twitter or post a photo on our Facebook Wall.
COMPETITION – There will be a post on our Facebook page very soon to give you the chance to win all of the nail varnishes (Gamma, Rare, Grab and Boosh) I used in this post! One winner will be selected at random to win so keep an eye out and see if you can answer the question!
Until next time, Samantha x
