Ready for the Weekend: Featuring Valerie Vixen

We are back with another Ready for the Weekend post! Today at Illamasqua HQ we are getting in the mood for Halloween, so the look today is a dark spooky smoky eye inspired by the amazingly talented Valerie Vixen from @valerievixenart on Instagram. We are always in awe at the make-up looks Valerie creates and this look is great if you’re heading to a Halloween party this weekend and still want a flawless sexy make-up look.

This look is all about the eyes so I have picked out 5 Illamasqua products which would be greate to recreate this dark smoky eye!

Powder Eyeshadow in Obsidian:

Powder Eyeshadow in Obsidian is the ideal shade to create a dark smoky look all around the eye. This can be applied using a Eye Shadow Brush and then blended around the edges using a Blending Brush to create the strong smokey look.

Powder Eyeshadow in Forgiveness:

Powder Eyeshadow in Forgiveness is the perfect shade to blend into Obsidian in the crease to create the slight purple/brown shade similar to Valerie’s.

Pure Pigment in Beguile:

One of my favourite parts of this make-up look is the glitter in the inner corner of Valerie’s lid. Beguile is perfect for adding a bit of sparkle to your eye make-up!

Precision Gel Liner:

It’s no spooky smoky eye without an intense black liner around the lash line and in the waterline! Precision Gel Liner is perfect for creating an intense black line with ease.

Lush Lash:

Finally Valerie added some thick lashes to finish off her smoky look. False Eye Lashes in Lush are great to finish off a dramatic eye make-up!

I hope you have fun recreating this look yourself this weekend! If you do be sure to send us a photo through #Illamasqua on Instagram, @Illamasqua on Twitter or post a photo on our Facebook Wall. Also be sure to check our @ValerieVixenArt on Instagram for more amazing make-up looks from Valerie!

Until next time, Samantha x
