Once Upon a Time

PR Executive Melanie Green and I were kindly invited to the Once Upon a Time press launch to celebrate the new series being exclusively aired in the UK on channel 5.

Earlier in the day, the staff who were working at the  event went to Illamasqua’s flag ship store at 20 Beak Street, to get dramatic eye make-up in the style of  snow white and the evil queen.

The event was held at the Sanctum Hotel in Soho on their roof top terrace and when we arrived on the terrace  we were greeted by an impressive ice sculpture of a fairy tale castle.

We were treated to tasty cocktails and yummy canapes and then got to mingle with Northern Irish heart throb Jamie Dornan best known for his modeling and being Kiera Knightley’s ex beau.

We were lucky enough to watch the first episode on a large screen  and it was brilliant. ‘Once Upon A Time’ is a fantasy drama from ‘Lost’ and ‘TRON: Legacy’ writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. It’s a modern fairytale for all the family with thrilling twists and hints of darkness. The series launched in the US on ABC in October where it is the #1 new drama on US television. Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself, but everything changes when Henry – the son she gave up years ago- finds her. This is one show that might just turn everything you’ve ever believed about fairytales upside down. It’s timeless battle of good vs. evil and for good to win Emma Swan will have to accept her destiny and fight like hell.

I’ve been hooked to the series ever since, if you have not seen it you can watch it now on Channel 5 every Sunday at 8pm or if you have missed the first few episodes watch it on  channel 5 on demand now
