It’s that time of year when we look back at the last 12 months and think
about what we’d like to change in 2016. As we take time off work, see family and
friends it’s the perfect opportunity to focus on what we’d like to explore or improve.
Here are Illamasqua’s 5 New Year’s Resolutions:
After a month of parties, drinking and eating ALL the mince pies January is the perfect
time to take care of yourself. Take some time out to treat yourself well. Even
if it’s just baking a cake, going for a run or having a weekend off where you
literally just Netflix and chill.
We don’t mean get all crazy extravagant and book flights to Hawaii but there is so
much to see in your own city/town/county. Get out and about, see something new!
Having adventures shouldn’t end when we become adults.
We all suffer from the fear that if we try a new look or colour we’ll look ridiculous
but lifeis all about pushing boundaries. Even if it’s just a bright shade of lipstick we
always swore would never suit us it’s time to make 2016 a year of trying rather
than fearing the unknown.
Ok so this may sound ambitious but what better way to make new friends and
increase your understanding of the world around you than by improving your
language skills or learning how to knit?
Why not use this time of year where we celebrate all we have to help others who have
so much less? Whether it’s donating money or clothes to aid the
Syrian Refugee crisis, canned goods to your local food-bank, or volunteering to
help out a charity covering issues you care about why not make
2016 a great year for others too?
