Mixing & Experimenting with Illamasqua

We love mixing and experimenting with products at Illamasqua. All our products are so versatile that you can take 2 or more pieces, mix them together and create a unique and bespoke new piece. Key Artist Charlotte Savory had a play and came up with the following ideas that we just had to share…

Skin Base in SB 01 – Must have Foundation! Skin Base in SB 01 allows you to highlight focus areas of the face and can also be mixed with other foundations. Help put light reflection back into the face and use under the brow, down the nose, across the cheek bones and under the eye. Skin Base in SB 01 is a must-have for every make-up artists kit to adapt their shades and is a great highlighter for fairer skin tones.

Sealing Gel – A gel formula that seals brows and liners. Sealing Gel can create waterproof  brows and liners by applying a layer directly over the top of any Illamasqua powder. Additionally sealing gel can be mixed with any Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow, Eye Brow Cake or Pure Pigment to make a colourful waterproof liquid eye liners.

We had to capture this – here is a photo of our Pure Pigment in Berber dry and then mixed with Sealing Gel to show you the difference in consistency and intensity.

Pure Pigments – A powder formula that can be used anywhere. Add to the eyes and cheeks for an instant highlight, mix with a nail top coat for an instant glittery top coat to nails, and sweep through the hair to add subtle highlights.

I thought I’d give mixing a Pure Pigment and a Nail Varnish a try. I chose to mix Furore in with the Illamasqua Top Coat. I applied it on top of Nail Varnish in Monogamous and it gives a real sparkly, opaque, textured effect…

Why not try mixing your favourite Pure Pigment in with our Top Coat and see which shades you can create?
