Meet the Team
For January’s Meet the Team we chatted to Head of Training, Daniel Busuttil. Keep reading for an insight into his role and a top training tip!
Can you please some up for us your role as Head of Training?
My role taps into different areas of the business, which all evolve around education. I manage the Art Team i.e. The North and South Trainers, the Brand Ambassadors, the School of Make-Up Art Trainers as well as Customer Services. Part of my role is to ensure that all the teams in our stores and counters are getting timely educative support and coaching; to be able to offer our customers the highest level of customer service and an unforgettable make-up experience. I am also responsible for creating all education materials we use at training. I am very grateful and lucky to have extremely talented, passionate people on my team, our objective is to inspire, motivate and educate everyone we come in touch with. In regards to the School of Make-up Art I oversee the operations and business side and work closely with our amazing School of MakeUp Art Trainers in regards to courses, their formats, contents and the overall experience we offer in the school.
How long have you been working at Illamasqua?
You’ve had the opportunity to travel in your role, where is your favourite place you’ve visited?
I can`t pick just one, every country has something special! I love Thai cuisine so I have to mention Thailand, however the weather in Australia is amazing too…… and I could go on and on and on
What do you love most about working at Illamasqua?
Probably the fact that as a brand we manage to inspire so many people around the globe through our products, ethos and amazing imagery.
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
The great feedback I receive from make-up artists after training and from students attending the school.
If you could swap roles with another Illamasqua staff member for the day, who would it be and why?
It will have to be Alex Box- I`d love to see colour through her creative perspective.
What is your favourite Illamasqua product?
It must be Eye Brow Cake in Thunder!
Can you share with us your number one make up tip?
A touch of `Tweak` Powder Blusher works wonders when layered over Bronzer to warm up complexions; to mimic a natural sun-tan.
Thanks so much Daniel for answering our questions! Who would you like to find out more about in next months post? Let us know.
