Manicure Monday: 8th December 2014 Xmas Special

Mani Monday

Hey everyone!

I’m Kim the new Social Media Intern and from now on I’ll be taking over the Mani Monday posts.

We’ve noticed that everyone is beginning to get in the festive spirit so this week we have a Christmas themed post for you.

First up Mandy has created this spectacular snowy design using four of our Illamasqua Nail Varnishes. We are absolutely loving this look she’s called ‘Let it Snow’ and we’re also hoping for a white Christmas! Mandy used our Base Coat to start, followed by Raindrops as an all over base colour. To recreate the snowman and snowflakes we suggest using our Precision Ink in Scribe followed by Blizzard as a top coat to give the illusion of snow.

These super fun elf nails are great if you’re after something a little less traditional. Start off with a plain white nail varnish as a base before adding on the jacket and hat using our nail varnish in Kink. We suggest using a fine paint brush and nail varnish in Boosh for the details of the boots and belt. Be Santa’s little helper this year just like Margaret!

We think this twist on a french manicure by @milkyinstant is great subtle way to add some festive cheer to your nails! Once you’ve created a white tip, use our nail varnish in Blizzard all over for that snowy feel. For the candy cane we suggest using Throb, the perfect red for Christmas.

If you’re not quite ready for Christmas nails yet, why not try a fashionable houndstooth effect with a splash of red to brighten it up like Jen? Use our Precision Inks in Abyss and Scribe to perfect the accuracy of the lines. On top use our nail varnish in Alarm with a fine brush to add the red detail.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s themed post! I know I’ll be trying to recreate these looks ready for Christmas parties, will you? Please share with us your own nail designs on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
