It seems like only yesterday that I walked into the Illamasqua Head Office for my first interview. I’d never really been to London before so finding my way to the offices on the tube was a real stress so I turned up all hot & sweaty, frizzy hair and so nervous that I could barely talk.
Finding out that I had been offered the year-long internship a few weeks later was such a great day and I still can’t believe how quickly the time has gone.
Since I joined the fabulous PR team last May, it’s absolutely crazy how much I’ve experienced and learnt. From helping out at internal events, meeting top beauty press at collection launches and learning how to create the perfect brow (that doesn’t look like something out of a Crayola advert), it’s been an amazing year!
If I listed all of my favourite memories with Illamasqua you would be reading this FOREVER, so I’ll just mention a few.
Within my very first week at Illamasqua I worked at the Naked Strangers store launch in the London flagship store. They had naked ladies all sprayed in gold with their ‘private parts’ covered in gold leaf, it was very glam! Plus trays of tequila cocktails were also being pass around!
Another favourite time has got to be meeting the gorgeous Evelyn at our Generation Q launch. That lady is just something else; she’s so full of life and definitely not your typical 73 year old and not to mention she is absolutely gorgeous! If I can be half the lady she is when I’m that age I’ll be more than happy.
Other great times have got to be taking part in the Night Time Diva Course, interviewing Gary Thompson from Channel 4 T.V Documentary Beauty & The Beast, the Illamasqua Christmas Party, I’mPerfection Event & of course working with such a fabulous team!
It’s been a great year & I’m sad to be leaving but it’s now time for me to start another adventure…
