Illamasqua is a “Cool Brand”.

At only 3 years old, we are thrilled to be awarded “Cool Brand” status for 2011 / 2012. We were part of the Cool Brands 10th Anniversary Edition book, showcasing our beautiful iconic campaign imagery and Creative Director, Alex Box at work.

“Renowned for its uncompromising dedication to self-expression, cult British beauty brand Illamasqua has revitalised the make-up industry, firmly establishing itself as a serious international player.” Cool Brands.

Illamasqua were invited along to the Super Brands networking event giving us a great opportunity to rub shoulders with other “Cool Brands” and “Super Brands”. The first thing people said to us was how different and “boring” their brands were compared to Illamasqua. (I think they spotted our bright orange lipstick, leather trousers and black, suede, wedged boots and knew we were from no ordinary company!)


We spoke with media channels, audio brands and app companies, but the highlight of my night was meeting the team behind the awesome Power Plate. I finally got to know how it really works and we’re going to try out the courses at the Power Plate Studio in Harrods. (stay tuned for epic results, I’m sure…)
The event was at the Haunch of Venison Gallery on Bond Street, which had some really intriguing art placed around the venue. We were greeted by some interesting but tasty canopes and of course the wine got everyone networking nicely!

Some might argue,  it’s not “cool” to be labelled “cool”, but we at Illamasqua love it and are extremely proud to be in the book along with extremely well established brands such as Dermalogica, Quintessentially, Dazed and Confused, Prada, Aston Martin and Manolo Blahnik.
