Illamasqua @ Glamour Beauty Festival

This weekend saw the first ever Glamour Beauty Festival, hosted at the beautiful Saatchi Gallery in West London by Glamour Magazine.glamour beauty festival

The Illamasqua team were amongst a gaggle of beauty professionals including hair stylists, nail technicians and beauticians there to pamper and talk all things beauty. This exciting event ran from Saturday to Sunday and saw guests from across the UK united to enjoy a day of pampering whilst picking up an exclusive deal or watching one of the insightful talks (this included the likes of Lisa Eldridge, Rita Ora and David Gandy). The cosmetics hall was organised so that each brand offered a different element of your make-up. Illamasqua proudly adopted eyes for the day, and of course we did this in true Illamasqua style.

Visitors could come along and get their eye make-up done by one of our top Make-Up Artists and select one of the four adventurous looks we had on offer. From a rainbow coloured eyeliner flick to our most popular ‘Rose ‘n’ Smokes’ which added a rouge twist to a usual smoky eye, we wanted to bring something new to everyone. Showcasing our latest professional product,[mwi-product sku=”03638″ type=”add”] we also offer a high fashion inspired glossy eye look and for the brave, we offered the ‘Graphic Gaze’ with custom monochrome eye art. Both days saw a flurry of energetic and passionate visitors who made us laugh and showed a thirst for make-up tips and tricks and went away transformed.

‘An Illamasqua staple, this feline flick has been injected with bright pigments and blended to create a popular ombre effect.’

Rose ‘n’ Smokes
by Illamasqua Art Team Member Nilofar Mussa

‘This is your classic smoky eye but with a beautiful crimson colouring. The rose tones add a delicate touch to this traditionally sultry look.

STEP 1: Take a pale pink eye shadow from the Illamasqua[mwi-product sku=”03169″ type=”add”] and dust all over the lid right up to the brow bone
STEP 2: Using a small blending brush, take a deeper pink and brush into the socket of the eyes only
STEP 3: To deepen the look, take the darkest shade in the[mwi-product sku=”03169″ type=”add”] and add to the corners of the eye and blend inwards
STEP 4: Take a black liner,[mwi-product sku=”03266″ type=”add”], to line the eyelid. Extend the line out to create a defined flick
STEP 5: Finish with lashing of[mwi-product sku=”03225″ type=”add”] or false lashes.
NOTE: To make this look really pop, add a light shade to the inner corner of the eyes and under the brow arch.’
