Illamasqua Key Artist, Mika Johnson has been busy at our Oxford Street counter creating this beautiful look. Here’s how…
Prep the skin using Matt Primer for a longer lasting foundation with no shine.
For Steph’s skin tone blend Skin Base 15 and 16 together to create the perfect shade. Skin Base is ideal to create a match for any skin as it is so blendable which makes it great for your kit.
Apply using Highlighter Brush in small circular motions.
To accentuate the bone structure use Skin Base 7.5. Find the high points of the face including the brow bone, cheek bone, bridge of the nose and even jawline. Blend as before.
For further definition use Skin Base 18 to contour the hollow of the cheek, below the jaw and into the temples.
Try Eye Shadow in Savage as a blusher, highly pigmented eye shadow can be used anywhere.
For power brows apply Eye Brow Cake in Gaze with the Angled Liner Brush, use dry for soft effect or mix with Sealing Gel for a more dramatic look. Sharpen the edges of the brow using Medium Pencil in Vow and blend through with a small brush such as Lip Brush.
Medium Pencils used lightly are great as an eye base. Set the pencil with Powder Eye Shadow in Succumb.
The eyes were completed mainly using the Neutral Palette.
Define the socket with Powder Eyeshadow in Wolf and sweep as far as you dare from the lower lid outward. Define further using Powder Eyeshadow in Obsidian mixed with Sealing Gel and use with Angled Liner Brush for a sharp wing.
Pair False Eyelash 14 and 21 for an ultra thick lash.
Bespoke lips are all the rage – for this look mix Lipstick in Kontrol with Medium Pencil in Bait. Bait is a shocking pink and amplifies the deep purple of Kontrol. finish off with a swipe of Lipgloss in Boost.
Will you be getting creative this Halloween / party season? We’d love to see your looks…
