Get the look: Teal Marilyn

Yesterday saw the launch of Human Fundamentalism, and to celebrate I’m sharing our step-by-step guide on how to get the look from the first image released to you in this collection – our Teal Marilyn.

1. Use Skin Base in AU for a shimmering gold base [or mix with your foundation to warm up] and then apply Illuminator in Halcyon on the tip on the nose and cupids bow for a contrasting glow.

2. After setting with Translucent Loose Powder in 010, use Powder Eye Shadow in Sex for a more intense highlight. The new Powder Eye Shadow in Vernau is a yellow ochre shade that is perfect for building a warm contour: apply below the cheekbone and down the sides of the nose for a defined look. Build on top of the contouring with Powder Blusher in Complex for a deeper shade.

3. Press Powder Eye Shadow in Stealth over the eye socket and then create a crease using Powder Eye Shadow in Wolf and then blending outwards. Using the same Eye Shadow create a thin crease underneath the eye to make them pop. For the final touch add a flick of the new anti-liner, Precision Ink in Scribe to the upper eyelid.

4. Take the Precision Ink and sketch an outline of where you want the brows to be and then fill in. If you want to add a beauty spot, why not change it up a bit and use the white liner to create a classic beauty spot with a twist?

5. Get your favourite pair of Illamasqua False Lashes and paint them in Nail Varnish in Muse to create a teal lash which will match the lips. Once they are dry [and do make sure they are bone dry!] apply them by following our How To Video here.

6. For the final stage of this look, use your Illamasqua Lip Brush to neatly apply the bold and daring Lipstick in Apocalips.

Then just throw on your favourite wig and hit the town with this teal night-time look. I was challenged to create my own interpretation of this look and here is how it went … what do you think?
