Jackie Fraser Swan founded the Emerson Collection in 2010 and her collections embody the powerful and free-spirited modern woman. Emerson’s Autumn Winter collection was showcased during New York Fashion Week last month and Andrea Helgadotti created the make-up look using Illamasqua. The make-up was inspired by the sophistication you get from a classic pin-up girl mixed with a dark twist and gothic inspired colours.
To prepare the skin Andrea used Satin Primer which created a dewy finish and ensured that the base stayed in place. Skin Base Foundation was used on each model and especially chosen because of its buildable coverage and ability to produce a perfect glowing natural complexion. Skin Base was buffed into the skin using an Illamasqua Highlighter Brush for a skin realism finish.
To create the gorgeous lilac eyes, Powder Eye Shadow in Can Can was swept over the entire eye and Powder Eye Shadow in Forgiveness was used as a contour in the socket. Precision Ink in Abyss was then used to create a thin black liquid line over the lid adding even more drama. The eye look was completed with False Eye Lashes 017 which added eye popping volume.
The focus of the look was dedicated to the lips and to create the dramatic gothic inspired lip, Lipstick in Kontrol was used. Andrea applied it with the Illamasqua Lip Brush blended with a small about of lip balm which created the illusion of a satin finish.
To complete the Emerson Autumn Winter 2012 look, The Red Door Spas team used Nail Varnish in Velocity over the entire nail, and then painted a small half-moon shape on the bottom of the nail using Nail Varnish in DWS.
Well done to Andrea and the team and thank you to Beautybybenz for letting us use her backstage pictures.
