Illamasqua Key Artist, Charlotte Savoury, the “Queen of Smoky Eyes”, tells you how to get an intensely beautiful evening look…
To get the look, firstly prepare the face by using either Matt Primer or Satin Primer, depending on your skin type, using Foundation Brush. Once set after a minute or two, apply Skin Base Foundation in your chosen shade using a Highligher Brush and buff into your skin in circular motions. This Highlighter Brush allows the Foundation to be distributed evenly over the skin allowing a flawless, polished finish.
Contour the cheek bones using Contour Brush and Powder Blusher in Thrust. Then highlight the tops of the cheekbones with Powder Blusher in Beg sweeping it high up into the temples and hairline. Sweep the Blusher along the jaw line and either side of the nose to accentuate the features subtly.
Accentuate the brows using an Angled Brush and Eyebrow Cake in Gaze. Mix with Sealing Gel for a more defined brow arch and apply through to the end of the brows. Highlight under the brow with Medium Pencil in Vow.
Apply Cream Pigment in Mould across the lid with Eye Shadow Brush creating the perfect base to apply your powder eye shadows. Blend outwards and upwards using Blending Brush for a soft defused base. Press Powder Eye Shadow in Obsidian over the lid blending outwards and upwards into the inner corners of the eye, blending out into Powder Eye Shadow in Savage.
Mix Sealing Gel with Eyeliner Cake in Mislead and apply along the lashline for a deep colour intensity towards the lash line with a Fine Eyeliner Brush. Line the lower lash line with Medium Pencil in Sophie and blend outwards with Powder Eye Shadow in Obsidian softening the edges with Powder Eye Shadow in Savage.
Coat the top and bottom lashes with Masquara in Raven for defined black lashes.
Try this look to make a statement and give your evening look some high impact! We’d love to see your recreations…
