Today we are very lucky to be joined by Nail Loopy. If you haven’t checked out their nail art yet then what are you waiting for?!
We wanted to find out what some of their favourite Illamasqua polishes are so be sure to check out the answers below…
Here Nail Loopy used Jo’Mina to create the bright lilac base on her nails.
1. How did you become interested in the world of nails?
I’ve always been interested in nails, but as for ‘the world of nails’ that begun when I discovered nail blogs about 4 years ago now. I learnt a lot from these blogs and after getting many compliments on my nails out and about I thought it was time to share what I could do with the world 🙂
2. What’s your number 1 Illamasqua nail varnish and why?
Nail Loopy created this gorgeous nail art topping the nails with Nail Varnish in Swarm
Ooh, tough question! I’d have to say Swarm
, it’s so versatile and it looks amazing over anything. A very very close second would be Destiny. My other favourites include Load, Facet
3. Nail Varnish aside, what do you do to take care of your nails?
Confession time! I don’t really do much to look after my nails just moisturise and always use a base coat.
4. If you could create a new Illamasqua nail varnish what would it be like and why?
I’d love a white jelly base full of iridescent flakes, so it’d look like an opal. Opals are gorgeous and they just look so magical and mystical and who wouldn’t want that on their nails?
We love bright glitter! Here Nail Loopy used Shattered Star Nail Varnish in Marquise
5. What are your top 3 nail tips to create a perfect nail art/ manicure?
Clean up any excess nail polish from cuticles and skin to make your nails look neat.
Work slowly, whether you’re just painting your nails a solid colour or creating an intricate design, working slowly gives you more control, and of course you’ll get faster the more you practice.
Finally, always use base coat and top coat, they both help create a more flawless finish and helps your mani last longer.
6. What do you love most about Illamasqua nail varnishes?
I love the variety of colours available and the formula of the polishes, they apply really nicely and are all nicely pigmented so you only need one or two coats.
We love this colourful look using Nail Varnish in Load on the base of the nails.
