All you need to know, about the ‘Glow’

This summer’s biggest beauty trend? Strobing. We got the lowdown from some of our very own Illamasqua MUA’s who inform us that the new strobing trend is ‘dewy-skin’… on acid; the brighter you shine the better.

Here are our top tips to get you strobing ready for summer:

Tip 1: Find the perfect product

Not everyone loves a blinding highlight so opt for a highlighter that is natural yet buildable so you can achieve the perfect level of glowing goodness.

We’ll have you glowing up and beyond with our new [mwi-product sku=”03635″ type=”add” ] (champagne shimmer) and [mwi-product sku=”03636″ type=”add” ] (warm bronze). Try these on the face and body to achieve a healthy, all over sun kissed radiance. We recommend dampening your brush with water or fixing spray, packing up the brush with product and working in circular motions.

Tip 2: Layer

If you’re looking for a more intense highlight, one of our top tricks is layering. Mix [mwi-product sku=”03635″ type=”add” ] with [mwi-product sku=”03132″ type=”add” ] to create an illuminating primer perfect for a natural, summery look. Placing a cream product down before the powder also adds an extra dimension and drama. Try [mwi-product sku=”03224″ type=”add” ] underneath the Beyond Powder and prepare to shine!

Tip 3: Ditch the contour and hit your high points

Gone are the days of aggressively blending out a muddy contour. Strobing focuses on extenuating the high points of the face, so hit those cheekbones, eyebrow bones, bridge of the nose and with whatever is left on the brush, sweep on your forehead and cupids bow for an all-over bright and youthful look. Add a dusting on your décolletage and down the centre of your legs to elongate your pins and finish off the entire sun kissed look.
