Illamasqua helps lead the House of Blue Eyes colour revolution.
On Saturday 20th February, Illamasqua once again teamed up with eclectic fashion label, House of Blue Eyes, to help create an array of breathtaking looks for the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2010 catwalk show.
Models sashayed down the catwalk at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, situated in Covent Garden’s stunning art deco Freemasons Hall, adorned with technicolour creations, courtesy of Illamasqua’s Artistic Director Alex Box and a team of assistants including Halimah, Francesco, Lucy G and Zahra.
The ‘Revolution and Love’ collection was directly inspired by The Cockettes – a late 60s/early 70s San Francisco-based theatrical troupe – cleverly juxtaposed with the vibrant hues of Andy Warhol's iconic Marilyn Monroe prints.
Alex and the team expertly captured the themes of peace, love and free spirit by applying bold, multicoloured graphic designs and a rainbow of colours and finishes, which set off the collection perfectly.
For a look at the artists in action, plus an unmissable interview with the label’s larger than life Creative Director, Johnny Blue Eyes, check out our exclusive behind-the-scenes film here.
