Beauty Spotlight with…
What is your number 1 Illamasqua product?
Ooh that’s a tricky one, I have a few! I think I’d have to say the Skin Base Lift as I’m using it every day as it has just the right amount of warm peach to correct my dark circles!
If you could create a look with purely Illamasqua products what would you choose?
Ok I’m going to list them in order of use:
Sculpting Powder Duo (Lumos & Heliopolis)
What would you say is your signature/go to look?
I laughed at this question, my go to look is so simple these days (being a busy mummy), however I definitely use the following most frequently:
Make up aside, how do you take care of your skin, hair and body?
I’ve been paying more attention to my skin of late, particularly after my pregnancy, which made my skin fluctuate!
I’m trying to find the perfect moisturiser at the moment but I cleanse, tone and moisturise every day and always, always take my makeup off no matter how tired I am!
Having studied Nutrition too, I know what I’m putting into my body will affect what’s on the outside so I’m back on my green tea and trying to eat as balanced as possible.
If you could create a new product for Illamasqua what would it be? Don’t forget to name it!
Ooh I think I’d like to see Illamasqua have their own range of cosmetic grade glitters; I’d call them Glitzers or something like that and they would have to be in a variety of shades (but purple is a must!)
As you know Illamasqua products are known to have multiple uses, what is your favourite Illamasqua product to use for more that one part of your make-up?
Aside from the recently released Facets Palette, I’d say the Cream Pigments are great multi use products; Hollow is obviously good for contouring, but I also like the idea of using them as correctors (Bedaub/Emerge) or for use on the cheeks or lips!
Do you have any top make-up tips that you’d like to share with us?
My top makeup tip is to blend, blend, blend!
For eyeshadows, I tend to find a matte shade closest to my skin colour to blend eyeshadow out with.
For foundation I love the highlighter brush that gets in all the nooks and crannies.
For contour, I adore the blush up brush for sculpting cheeks and the jawline.
